Information we process
To provide the app we store your shop's myshopify domain, the announcement bars you create (text, links, colours, schedules and targeting rules), your plan and its status as reported by Shopify, and encrypted access credentials that Shopify issues when you install the app. Authentication records can include the installing staff member's account identifier, name, email and locale as provided by Shopify.
The app does not collect or store personal data about your customers. To show you how your bars perform and to measure your plan's monthly bar-view allowance, the storefront script sends an anonymous signal when a bar is shown and when its link or coupon is clicked. It contains only your shop domain, the event type and the bar ID; we add it to a daily total per bar. No cookies, visitor IDs, IP addresses, page addresses or device data are stored. The sender's IP address is used only momentarily in memory to limit abuse and is never written to disk. Nothing is sent while you edit your theme. When a shopper closes a bar, that choice is saved only in the shopper's own browser storage. Free-shipping bars read the shopper's cart total from your store (/cart.js) inside the browser; it is not sent to us.
Use and hosting
Information is used only to run the app, show your bars, report daily bar views and clicks to you, enforce your plan and provide support. The app is hosted on PLANO's infrastructure in the European Union. We do not sell data or use it for advertising.
Retention and deletion
When you uninstall the app, access credentials are deleted immediately and your bars are paused. All remaining shop data, including bar statistics, is deleted when Shopify sends its shop redaction request (about 48 hours after uninstall). Customer data requests and redaction requests are acknowledged; there is no customer data to export or delete.
Security
Access credentials are encrypted at rest. Admin pages require Shopify authentication and are scoped to the authenticated shop.
